Final Predictions (7 Days of NBA)

Hi everyone and welcome to the final blog for 7 Days of NBA. Since the blog is ending and the playoffs are going to begin in 2 weeks, I figured I would show my picks for the playoffs. Here's what I predict the final standings will be:

East:

1. Nets

2. 76ers

3. Bucks

4. Knicks

5. Hawks

6. Heat

7. Celtics

8. Hornets

9. Wizards

10. Pacers

11. Raptors

12. Bulls

13. Cavaliers

14. Magic

15. Pistons

West:

1. Jazz

2. Suns

3. Clippers

4. Nuggets

5. Lakers

6. Mavericks

7. Trail Blazers

8. Grizzlies

9. Warriors

10. Spurs

11. Pelicans

12. Kings

13. Thunder

14. Timberwolves

15. Rockets

Playoffs:

Play-In:

East:

Celtics def. Hornets

I think the Celtics overpower the Hornets and it will not be that close.

Wizards def. Pacers

Russell Westbrook and Bradley Beal provide firepower that puts them over Indiana.

Wizards def. Hornets

LaMelo can't carry the Hornets to the playoffs, and Westbrook proves he is still a top scorer.

West:

Trail Blazers def. Grizzlies

Damian Lillard goes off to make sure his team is 7.

Warriors def. Spurs

The Spurs simply cannot keep up with Steph.

Warriors def. Grizzlies

I think the Grizzlies keep it close but a clutch shot from Steph puts the Warriors at 8.

First Round:

East:

1 Nets def. 8 Wizards, 4-1

Westbrook and Beal steal a game, but the Nets have too much for the Wizards to stop.

2 76ers def. 7 Celtics, 4-3

Boston makes it close, but Ben Simmons has turned into a lockdown perimeter man and Embiid dominates the post.

3 Bucks def. 6 Heat, 4-2

Miami's magic doesn't carry over to the 2021 postseason, as Giannis gets help from Jrue Holiday and some shots from Middleton to get them by the Butler-led Miami lineup.

4 Knicks def. 5 Hawks, 4-3

Possibly the most intriguing matchup, the Knicks and Hawks battle to show which one has more potential, with Julius Randle taking over in the final game to get them a win.

West:

1 Jazz def. 8 Warriors, 4-2

The Jazz have a much more well-balanced team, and Steph can't carry the Warriors to 4 dubs.

2 Suns def. 7 Trail Blazers, 4-3

Portland comes in and surprises most, but Chris Paul and Devin Booker prove the regular season was not a fluke.

3 Clippers def. 6 Mavericks, 4-3

The Clippers struggle like last time against the Mavs, but the depth of LA gets them the victory.

5 Lakers def. 4 Nuggets, 4-2

Lebron and AD are healthy, and missing Jamal Murray turns out to be the difference.

Second Round:

East:

1 Nets def. 4 Knicks, 4-1

The Battle for the Big Apple goes to the Nets, with the Knicks stealing one.

3 Bucks def. 2 76ers, 4-3

The inconsistency of the 76ers in the postseason is here, and the Bucks take charge of this series to snag the last contest with a huge night by Giannis.

West:

5 Lakers def. 1 Jazz, 4-3

The magic of Playoff Bron returns, and the Jazz team pushes them to 7 until the paint is won by the Lakers due to the lack of offense with having Gobert.

2 Suns def. 3 Clippers, 4-3

Chris Paul proves he is a candidate for the MVP, getting the best of his former group and leading the Suns to the WCF, with PG and Kawhi hitting their slump.

Conference Finals:

East:

1 Nets def. 3 Bucks, 4-2

KD, Harden and Kyrie simply provide too much for scoring, and the Bucks are hurt from streaky nights by their sharpshooters and the lack of perimeter shots from their reigning DPOY and MVP.

West:

5 Lakers def. 2 Suns, 4-3

This series goes down to the finish, with the Suns having great scoring games from D Book, but the combination of play from both LeBron and Davis get the win.

NBA Finals:

Lakers def. Nets, 4-2

There's a reason they nicknamed Lebron James, "King James". He cements his spot in the GOAT convo with a thrilling win over Brooklyn, getting his 5th title and going back-to-back with the Los Angeles Lakers.
